SCOTUS Ruling May Be Illegitimate; DeSantis Touts Anti-Gay Record

A reporter from The New Republic has uncovered that there was never a gay couple that asked the Colorado web designer at the center of the Supreme Court’s decision to allow discrimination to design a same-sex wedding website for them. The reporter reached out to the named client who until then had no idea he was even part of the case. He confirmed he’s married – to a woman – has a child – and is a web designer himself. Colorado’s Attorney General confirms the situation. Lawyers have revealed that this opens the potential for a rehearing, with the hope to have it stricken from the books.

Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign released an anti-LGBTQ ad on the last day of Pride Month that celebrates his record of bigotry and anti-LGBTQ laws he’s tried passing during his reign as governor of Florida. The ad attacks Trump for being soft on LGBTQ+ rights and touts DeSantis’ accomplishments against the LGBTQ+ community. The Log Cabin Republicans denounced the ad as divisive and desperate. A recent poll shows DeSantis with just 16% support in his campaign for President.
