Lesbian Found Fatally Shot In The Trunk Of A Burning Car

Washington D.C. lesbian Kerrice Lewis was found tied up and unconscious in the trunk after suffering from several gunshot wounds when she was located dead in her own car on December 28.

Back on December 28, police responded to a call near Fort Dupont Park, where they discovered a Lexus on fire and Lewis' body inside. Unfortunately, by the time emergency series arrived at the scene of the crime, the 23-year-old had shown "no signs consistent with life." According to neighbors in the area, multiple gunshots were heard as well as Lewis screaming in an attempt to escape the burning car.

"She made a few bad mistakes,”"Lewis' granddaughter, William Sharp, told The Washington Post. "She was free-spirited and a lot of fun… She would light up a room, just talking and laughing. [She] was very excited because she had just finished taking some classes and was looking forward to taking some more."

Oddly enough, Sharp revealed that two of his granddaughter's friends (Ronzay Green, 23, and Armani Nico Coles, 27) were also shot to death the same day she was killed. Authorities haven't revealed whether the cases are connected to one another, but D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham said detectives do believe the victims were at least friends. They've also made an arrest related to the murder of the former.
