Billy Eichner Set For New Netflix Stand-Up Special

Billy Eichner is trading in his Hulu membership for a Netflix one as it has been announced that the comedian will hit the streaming platform with his first stand-up comedy special.

Eichner's TV special is being described as "a unique blend of comedy and music that will cover politics, pop culture." It also may include his signature, Emmy-nominated Billy on the Street segments. Even though a filming date and title for the special have yet to be announced, the stand-up will be produced in 2018. "I'm coming out of retirement!!! Beyond excited to announce I’ll be doing my first special for Netflix," he tweeted on Wednesday (February 28) "(Which could include some brand new Billy on the Street
.) More info soon

"

If you've been following Eichner's career, you know that he appeared on Difficult People alongside Julie Klausne, but it was canceled last year after three seasons. Eichner's TV hiatus became even more apparently when he pulled his other TV series, Billy on the Street, from truTV.
