Ariana Grande is focusing on her career after her split from Pete Davidson.

Hours after news broke that "Sweetener" singer called off her engagement to the Saturday Night Live comedian, Ariana revealed she will be performing "The Wizard and I" for the 15-year anniversary special of Wicked. "Honored to be included in this celebration of 15 years of my favorite musical of all time 💚," she captioned a photo of the Broadway play's script on Monday (October 15). "Wouldn’t miss it for the whole universe #wicked15

Ariana will be playing the role of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, for the Wicked special, which will honor the show's 15-year run on Broadway. The show airs on NBC on October 29 at 10 pm ET.

Ari's announcement came on the heels of TMZ's Sunday (October 14) report, which revealed she and her fiance of four months had called it quits. While initial reports claimed the split was due to the two realizing they weren't ready to take the next step in their relationship, sources have since claimed that the death of Ariana's ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, last month may have played a role.

Following Mac's apparent overdose, the 25-year-old singer's team announced that she would be taking some time off to "mend." "Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend,” her team told People after she skipped out on the 2018 Emmy Awards last month. "She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding.”

Weeks later, Ariana let her fans in on her pain on Twitter. "Can i pls have one okay day. just one. pls," she first tweeted, before adding, "i’m so f**king tired pls” and “jus wake me up when i’m supposed to sing or whatever. peace.” Ariana also responded "j f**king k" (meaning just kidding) to a previous tweet that she wrote a week prior that read, "everything will be okay."
