Beyonce's Mom Tina Knowles-Lawson Says Family Tested Negative For COVID-19

Beyoncé and her family have taken tests for COVID-19 and the results have come back negative.

Mother Tina Knowles-Lawson, 66, shared the news during a recent interview with Tamron Hall. "We all got tested,” she admitted during the web chat. "We've gotten the results back and everybody is okay, and so I hope we can get together this Mother's Day and have dinner together—and I can actually touch them for real."

Knowles-Lawson went on to confess that she's been feeling sad on the weekends as that's when she usually gets to see her grandchildren: Beyoncé's daughter Blue Ivy, 8, and twins Sir and Rumi, 2. "So on Sunday mornings, I got the blues," she admitted.

Bey has done her part to make sure that she's using her celebrity for productivity amid the pandemic. Not only has she participated in various at-home concert events, but she also donated $6 million via her BeyGOOD campaign, which is offering essential services like food banks to several cities across the country. Additionally, the pop titan and her mother launched the #IDIDMYPART campaign on Mother's Day to promote coronavirus testing in her hometown of Houston, Texas. The mobile testing campaign is aimed at setting up medical center staffers with the ability to administer 1,000 free tests and give away essential vitamins, household supplies and personal protective equipment.
