The Weather Channel released a stunning video using augmented reality to show the power of Florence's storm surge. The power of CGI rivals that of movies to illustrate just how powerful a six foot storm surge can be. Or higher.
The company that produced this with The Weather Channel was using something called the "Unreal Engine" which is actually used for real-time rendering of video game graphics like on your Xbox or Playstation. It's impressively frightening for sure... no better way to drive home the point that you should evacuate when they say so.
For everyone in Florence's path, stay safe and stay dry!
