LEGO announced today a brand new set for Pride Month hitting stores and LEGO.com on June 1 to celebrate that "Everyone Is Awesome!" Borrowing from the tagline of their popular The Lego Movie, this set was inspired by a design that a LEGO master builder had sitting on his desk in his office at LEGO Headquarters.
LEGO set designer Matthew Ashton told LGBTQ Nation, "I wanted to create a model that symbolizes inclusivity and celebrates everyone, no matter how they identify or who they love."
As you may have seen from the image the company shared, these prideful minifigs don't feature faces or other distinguishing marks. According to Ashton, they are supposed to "express individuality, while remaining ambiguous."
The set will be available starting June 1 for $34.99.
