The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is cautioning Tennessee residents and visitors to be careful with snakes all over the state!
TWRA reported that it received NUMEROUS photos and phone calls about snake sightings and venomous snakes throughout Tennessee!
Contrary to popular belief, the TWRA wants to make it clear that not all brightly colored snakes are venomous and you should take a few precautionary measures. The suggest watching where you step and staying on paths in wildlife areas that COULD contain snakes.
The scariest part... they could be in your backyard.. The agency also urges you to be cautious reaching into piles or spaces when gardening or doing yard work.
