We're only a few days away from a new episode of RuPaul's Drag Race, but it still feels like we're reeling from the shock of last week's episode, which saw BenDeLaCreme eliminate herself from the competition.
Courtesy of our friends at NewNowNext, the epic twist in elimination was caught on camera at Rebar, a New York City bar in the Chelsea neighborhood, and it's clear that the entire venue had the same reaction that the rest of us had: pure shock. Peep the footage from the elimination below. As you know, BenDaLa had the opportunity to send one of her teammates home, but decided to grab some Wite-Out and send herself packing. Moments before her self-elimination, she also decided to bring back Morgan McMichaels since she won the challenge that week.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the All-Star admitting that the decision to eliminate herself arrived as an impromptu thought. "It literally came to me as we filmed that episode. The show takes two days to film, so it was on the second day that the decision came to me," she explained. "It reminded me of that [M. Night Shyamalan movie about an alien invasion], Signs, you know, where there's the water glasses all over the place and the baseball bat?"
