PRIDE Radio is highlighting our latest "New Music Spotlight", the inspirational single "What Makes You" from Carol Maraj.
Carol's roots in gospel music are clear in this first pop single from the singer. Living her dream, Carol hopes "What Makes You" becomes the next big anthem even though she wasn't completely on board with the song at first. "I was uncomfortable with the song; I gave it considerable thought," she says.
The song has an unmistakable late 90's club vibe that Carol hopes will fill you with the urge to dance.
A percentage of proceeds will go to the Carol Maraj Foundation, a foundation she set up to aid victims of domestic violence, saying "My new music will certainly touch on personal issues of Domestic Violence. That's where I'm most passionate."
