Taylor Swift Sold More Singles Than Any Other Artist In The Past Decade

Taylor Swift ruled the 2010s and the pop titan has the numbers to back it up.

As per Forbes, the chart-topper, 30, reigned at the top of digital downloads in the first half of the decade before streaming took over the industry. More specifically, Swift sold more singles than any other artist between 2010 and 2020. According to the report, Swifties showed their dedication by downloading more than 75,893,000 different tracks from her catalogue, beating the next biggest seller, Eminem, by 12 million downloads. Additionally, she holds the honor of 8 No. 1 singles on the Digital Song Sales chart, more than any other artist.

While Swift has been relatively quiet since the release of her Netflix documentary, Miss Americana, the star did respond to comedian Nikki Glaser, who issued an apology to the star after she was featured in the film for criticizing the star's appearance. "I love @taylorswift. Unfortunately, I am featured in her new documentary as part of a montage of as*hats saying mean things about her, which is used to explain why she felt the need to escape from the spotlight for a year. It’s insanely ironic because anyone who knows me knows I’m obnoxiously obsessed with her and her music," she wrote via Instagram, before admitting that her comments were made out of jealousy and she had her own eating disorder at the time.

For her response, Swift replied: "Wow. I appreciate this so much and one of the major themes about the doc is that we have the ability to change our opinions over time, to grow, to learn about ourselves. I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve struggled with some of the same things I’ve struggled with. Sending a massive hug."
