Aly & AJ’s "Potential Breakup Song" is a 2000s pop gem, but the track, which the sister act re-recorded at the end of 2020, also helped the stars make a splash on TikTok and take home the Best Comeback Song honor at the first-ever Trending: VMAs.

On Friday (September 10), the Disney alums celebrated the win by lip-synching for their lives at Christian Cowan’s afterparty as part of New York Fashion Week. During Ty Sunderland's set, the New York DJ played the 2007 hit, to which the ladies jumped into action with RuPaul’s Drag Race alums Aquaria and Gigi Goode in-tow, and it was all caught on camera.

Earlier in the day, the pop duo dropped a new single called "Get Over Here." The track is set to appear on the deluxe edition of their latest album, a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and then into the sun, which is scheduled for release in 2022 ahead of their upcoming tour. "With this song, we really wanted to capture the yearning & anticipation that comes in the early stages of a relationship," the duo recently told American Songwriter. "Writing this song actually helped kickstart the process of creating our latest album. When we were thinking about a deluxe edition of a touch of the beat…, we knew this had to be on it."
