Harvey Gullién Teams With Antonio Banderas In New "Puss In Boots"

Can you believe it's been more than 10 years since the last movie in the "Shrek" franchise? It's hard to believe! "Puss In Boots" is here to rescue us from our "Shrek" drought with a brand new adventure described as "swash-buckling". "Puss In Boots: The Last Wish" is set to debut in theaters this fall.

In what looks like a perfect film for families and animation buffs alike, Antonio Banderas returns as the titular character, on the last of his nine lives - having burned the other eight in his prior escapades, Puss has lost count among the peril, and sets out to restore his missing lives.

"The Notorious PiB" won't be alone on his journey, asking for help from his former partner Kitty Soft Paws, played once again by Salma Hayek. The best cast announcement besides the two leads comes in the news that LGBTQ-identified actor Harvey Guillén ("What We Do In The Shadows," "Reacher") will be portraying a chatty and cheerful mutt named Perro.

The film is set with an all-star cast including: Florence Pugh, John Mulaney, Wagner Moura and others. This DreamWorks Animation film is set to bow in theaters September 23. Get a peek at the first trailer below.
