On Thursday, the US Supreme Court set an important precedent for trans rights when it refused to allow West Virginia to ban transgender athletes from public school female sports teams. Justices Alito and Thomas, two conservatives, publicly dissented from the decision that nullified a law passed in 2021.
Speaking of Justice Thomas, it was revealed by ProPublica on Thursday that the justice has accepted lavish trips and gifts from a billionaire donor all while not disclosing any of it as required by Federal law. Justice Thomas, in his opinion overturning Roe V Wade also flaunted the idea of re-litigating the same-sex marriage decision.
The journalist who broke the story of Tennessee’s Lt Gov liking and reacting to a gay man’s spicy Instagram photos has now been targeted with violence. Justin Kanew claims that someone shot at his house last Saturday while everyone was asleep. No one was hurt, but he is condemning the violence and authorities are investigating.
