A state rep in Florida, Fabian Basabe, who voted in favor of expanding the “Don’t Say Gay” bill and the anti-drag show bill, plans on marching in the Miami Beach Pride parade this weekend and is facing stiff opposition from groups like Equality Florida who are demanding he resign for his anti-LGBTQ policies.
In Missouri, the State’s Attorney General has issued an emergency rule that would ban gender-affirming care for most trans adults. It would require 3 years of assessments and therapy just to get access to hormone replacement drugs calling for disorders like depression and anxiety be cured first in an attempt to erase trans people from society.
President Joe Biden has appointed Lady Gaga as co-chair of the President’s Committee On The Arts & Humanities. This committee is responsible for advising the president and other U.S. agencies on ways the federal government can support the arts & humanities.
