The Texas House voted unanimously to expel anti-LGBTQ legislator Bryan Slaton. Slaton was one of the loudest voices in the Texas Legislature calling for bans on drag shows with minors present. He has been found by a committee of violating House rules by providing alcohol to a 19-year-old staffer, getting her drunk, and having sex with her.
Former President Donald Trump has been found liable for sexual assault in the civil case brought by E. Jean Carroll who accused Trump of raping her in the 1990’s. He has been ordered to pay $5 million dollars.
The Walt Disney Company has expanded their federal lawsuit against Florida’s governor stating that Ron DeSantis is showing no signs of slowing down his “retribution campaign” against the company for their stance against the “Don’t Say Gay” law. This expansion comes on the heels of DeSantis signing legislation to void their land deals with the Reedy Creek improvement district and forcing the Walt Disney World Monorail to state inspection and oversight.
