While on stage in Omaha, Nebraska over the weekend, Lizzo slammed state lawmakers, including some who were in the audience, for recently passing legislation to ban gender-affirming care and limit abortions to 10 weeks. She said “Let me be your safe space tonight. Don’t let anybody tell you who you are. Don’t let any law tell you who you’re not. You are who you are.”

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled unanimously in favor to give a transgender asylum seeker from Guatemala another chance to argue her case. In the past, immigration judges have denied her asylum even though they found her account to be credible. This decision allows her to stay in the US while she argues for the right to be granted asylum.

Montana is set pass a law that would define sex as strictly ‘male’ or ‘female’ and be unchangeable. The Governor has until this weekend to sign the bill into law or veto the legislation. He has already signed bills banning gender-affirming treatment for minors.
