Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues his campaign of blatant lies claiming the PRIDE Night hosted by the LA Dodgers was “virtually empty” when in fact it had higher attendance than the team’s average game nights. Social posts taken when stadium gates opened showing empty seats appears to be the source of his false statement. Over 49,000 people attended the Dodgers Pride Night, which is 87% capacity.

Last week, Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a new law that expands the state’s trans athlete ban to cover college sports. The law, titled the “Save Women’s Sports Act”, applies to public colleges and universities in the state and takes effect on September 1. This is the second anti-trans law that Abbott has signed during Pride Month.

Marking history as the first former Russian nation to do so, Estonia’s lawmakers have approved legislation legalizing same-sex marriage in the country. The law was passed with a coalition of support from Estonia’s political parties.
