Olivia Rodrigo just finished her "Guts World Tour," and is sharing her very "superstitious" pre-show ritual.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Olivia recalled, "Kind of a weird superstitious thing that I have — my in-ear monitor tech, his name is Seamus and he’s a very British man. And before every show he says, 'It’s gonna be a piece of piss,' which is British for, it’s gonna be easy peasy. And so before every show, I make sure that I say, 'Seamus, it’s gonna be a piece of piss.'"
But, it doesn't end there — the show cannot go unless Seamus says the British slang back to her. Rodrigo added, "If he doesn’t say that, I'm convinced it’s going to be a bad show. I'm very superstitious."
The "Guts World Tour," in support of Olivia's latest album GUTS, kicked off in February in Palm Springs, California, and took Rodrigo all across the US, stopping in cities including Phoenix, Dallas, Orlando, Nashville, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, New York and more, before heading over to countries like Ireland, England, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, Thailand, South Korea, China, Japan, and Australia.
After wrapping the tour, she shared in a handwritten message to fans, "And that's a wrap on the GUTS World Tour! 95 shows, 22 countries and a few matching tattoos! Words cannot describe how lucky I feel to have been able to travel all around he world playing these songs with the most extraordinary group of people. I'll never forget this experience and all the sweet memories we made on the road."
