Cardi B says the efforts to finalize her divorce from Offset have stalled due to a discrepancy over his terms.

On Monday, September 22, Bardi spoke to her fans during another explosive session on X Spaces. During her conversation, Cardi B spoke about the status of her divorce battle with the father of her three children and revealed why they haven't signed the papers yet. In addition to spousal support, Offset allegedly wants her to pay his taxes.

"The only reason why I'm still married is because somebody still wants me to pay for they taxes," Cardi explained. "Y'all wanna know the tea?

"The only way I can get out of my marriage [is] if I pay for somebody else's taxes, even though I pay for my own and give them one of my properties," she continued. "I'm fighting for that. I'mma fight for that."

Cardi B first filed for divorce last August — a month before their daughter Blossom was born. Since then, the two have been going back and forth in an attempt to settle out of court. Back in May, Offset submitted an amended response to Cardi's divorce and asked for spousal support in addition to joint custody of their kids. He also requested that Cardi's home serve as their children's primary residence. It's not clear exactly how much Offset wants in spousal support. Nonetheless, it sounds like Cardi may take Offset to court to settle his other terms.

"I'm not going to stop living my life because, on a contract, I'm practically still married because somebody wanna hold me hostage if I don't give them millions of dollars to get out of it," she said. "So that's what I'm going through in life."
