Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just hard launched their relationship, making them Instagram official.
The couple has confirmed their relationship by posting photos and videos together on the social media app, with Perry sharing a carousel of images on Saturday, December 6th, featuring herself and Trudeau cheek-to-cheek and enjoying sushi in Japan, where Perry is on her "Lifetimes Tour." The post, captioned, "tokyo times on tour and more," has ended months of speculation about their romance.
The relationship was hinted at earlier when former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida shared a photo of himself with Perry and Trudeau, referring to Perry as Trudeau's "partner." Trudeau reshared this photo, expressing gratitude for Kishida's friendship.
The couple's relationship has been a topic of interest since they were first spotted together in July, dining in Montreal. They were later seen holding hands in Paris during Perry's birthday celebration in October. However, Perry has not publicly commented on the relationship.
Trudeau, who served as Canada's prime minister from 2015 to 2025, announced his resignation earlier this year.
Both Perry and Trudeau have previously been in high-profile relationships, with Perry splitting from Orlando Bloom in July 2023 and Trudeau separating from his wife, Sophie Grégoire, in August 2023.
