Owner Of San Leandro's Iconic 'Ricky's Sports Bar' Dies

Ricky Ricardo, the owner of the legendary East Bay sports bar 'Ricky's Sports Theater & Grill' has died. Ricky passed away from complications due to a stroke and Alzheimer's disease. He was 75 years old. Ricky's has been a Bay Area mainstay when it comes to sporting events since 1946. The hangout is a home away from home especially for members of the Raider Nation. The team shared their condolences on Twitter. The bar shared the news via Facebook, the bar posted on Facebook. "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Ricky, the post said. "The family is mourning this great loss, but do appreciate all of the love, messages and condolences being sent their way."

Ricky's Sports Theatre and Grill was also named by Sports Illustrated as a top sports bars in America.
