Costco's New COVID-19 Shopping Policy Starts Monday

COVID-19 cases are rising around the country and Costco is doing everything it can to ensure that shoppers have a safe experience. Beginning Monday Nov. 16th Costco is implementing a mandatory mask policy for all shoppers. Previously Costco had allowed people who were exempt for medical reasons to avoid wearing a mask.

Costco shared the news in a press release stating, 'Entry to Costco will only be granted to those wearing a face mask or face shield. Children under the age of 2 are exempt. Costco has had a face mask policy in effect since May 4, 2020, but members who could not wear a mask due to a medical condition were exempt. This is no longer the case. If a member has a medical condition that prevents them from wearing a mask, they must wear a face shield at Costco.'

CEO Craig Jelinek stated that the new policy is to help provide a safer environment for Costco's members and employees.

If you are headed out to Costco grab a mask and check out some of their Black Friday deals.
