A recent study showed that Washington, DC metro drivers were the worst in the country. This certainly isn't helping that case.
Within a few hours and less than a mile from each other, Montgomery County, Maryland was home to two unusual car crashes that had tongues wagging.
Just before 1pm, a student driver being taught how to park accidentally hit the gas, ran down an embankment and into the North Creek Community Center pool. Oops.
Fortunately no one was hurt and the driver & trainer were able to self-extricate from the vehicle as it sat on the bottom of the pool, with the top half showing.
Then, just a few hours later and less than a mile away in Gaithersburg, MD, a person on a test drive of a new car from a dealership somehow flipped the vehicle on its roof. Again, they were able to self-extricate with non-life-threatening injuries along with a bruised ego.
