Local Spot, Inc *bar and restaurant* has filed a lawsuit against Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, Nashville Mayor John Cooper, and other local government officials!
Our news affitiliate, FOX 17, reports that:
The lawsuit, filed by Local Spot, Inc. and owner Geoffrey Reid, lists Gov. Lee and Mayor Cooper, as well as Attorney General Herbert W. Slatery, III and Metro Chief Medical Director Michael C. Caldwell as Defendants.
The lawsuit claims that the Defendants' plan of quarantining the entire population and closing all 'non-essential' businesses has resulted in the unprecedented and devastating deprivation of citizens' fundamental and natural rights
The lawsuit then goes on to claim that those rights deprived by citizens of Tennessee include the right to travel, the freedom of association, the freedom of religion, the right to be free from illegal seizure, property rights, economic rights, and other civil liberties protected by the U.S. Constitution and Tennessee Constitution.
Reid, owner of Local Spot, Inc. claims he has incurred 'significant monetary losses which exceed $200,000' as a direct result of being closed by the Defendants' orders!
