Have you ever wondered how to give the PERFECT HUG?!
Because scientists are clearly vey busy these days, some scientists in the U.K. have done experiments to determine how to give the BEST HUG possible.
For their study, a team of psychologists chose 103 pairs of friends to give each other hugs and rate the hugs they received for both pleasure and arousal. Based on the results, researchers found that 10-second hugs promote the most pleasure. 10 SECONDS. That feels like an ungodly amount of time to hug someone LOL
For the arousal portion of their study, apparently hugs where both people criss-cross their arms rate higher, but hugs where one person circle the waist while the other grasps the shoulders rates slightly higher for pleasure!
